The Gauge

Well, I haven't done much since the last post, other than watch roughly 1 million movies. Ashley and I exchanged 60 hours worth of movie viewing on Christmas, and we now have THREE unlimited rental deals. It can be exhausting, but it means that I can finish a sweater a week these days, what with all the knitting/viewing time.

In addition to the movies (including a version -the only version?- of Bleak House!) I got a nice skirt, a really rad coat (inspired by Quadrophenia), a rare edition of the Tasha Tudor Christmas book and lots of other treats. Presents are fun! I gave Ashley a sweater I made. I waited until the last minute to finish it, and knit until my fingers bled. He looks hot in it, so it was all worth it. There's something to be said for knitting a sweater for your husband. It feels so grown-up and official and Christmasy.

I turned 30 a ways back. That was fun, because we stayed at the Kennedy School and I got more presents and drank a lot of beer. I got a Swatch and a keyboard (I know - you're thinking I meant to say it was my 13th birthday, but it really was my 30th, hence the beer).

There's more, I'm sure. I'm positive something happened other than opening presents and watching movies, but I'm damned if I can come up with it now.

Yay! Maybe I'll post again soon!

More positive than opening presents and watching movies? I surely can't think of anything better.. Except presents and movies with You!
